The Contestant#30
Wait, before you dive into this story, have you read ‘No More Game‘
Adriana stood in the same spot, right in the middle of the backyard, where she had met Jess.
Standing up tall, she watched as Brock strutted into the backyard. He had that same confident, sexy swagger that he’d oozed all the way back at the beginning of this competition.
He wore a navy-blue suit with a black tie, and his dirty blonde hair, which was usually styled in a ragged, sexy beach bum kind of style was now slicked back, with the sides freshly shaved.
“My heart, my achy, breaky, heart!” Brock groaned dramatically, as he placed both hands over his heart.
Adriana laughed.
“What? How do you know you didn’t win?” She asked, putting her hands on her hips.
Brock walked right up to her and stared down into Adriana’s eyes.
“Oh please! I wish you could see the way you and Corey look at one another. It’s sickening!” He said with a laugh.
Stringing anyone along had never been Adriana’s intention; she never expected to even connect with any of the contestants, so meeting Corey was like being wacked upside the head with a fuck ton of bricks.
“I never expected to fall like this.” Adriana said.
“But I bet it feels good though.” Brock said, looking down at her.
Adriana bit her bottom lip, how did she get so lucky as to meet such kind and understanding people such as Brock and Jess.
“Really good.” Adriana admitted.
Brock smiled big and wide before stretching his arms out for a hug.
Adriana melted into him, and though she knew in her heart of hearts that Corey was the one, a part of Adriana was sad.
Brock was an amazing man, and they’d formed a genuine connection, just not as strong as the one she had with Corey.
“Best of luck, to both of you.” Brock said.
“Thank you!” Adriana said before releasing him.
Turning around, Brock headed back inside were he found Corey pacing back and forth in the living room.
“Can I stay and watch this?” Brock asked, pointing to Corey.
Chase, the head of the house, and the man who had been relaying information to the contestants throughout this whole experience, shrugged his shoulders.
“Yeah, sure.” He said.
Brock gave a fist pump before grabbing a chair and sitting off to the side as to not disrurb Corey.
“Alright Smiley! Ready?” Chase said, looking over to them.
Corey took a deep breath, filling their lungs with air before exhaling.
“Ready.” They said with a sharp nod.
And so, making their way over to Chase, Corey straightened their suit jacket and waited.
“Alright Smiley, they’re ready for you!” Chase said.
“Go get her Smiley!” Brock said, earning a fist bump from Corey.
Chase pulled the door open, and Corey was greeted by the sight of twinkling lights bordering the top edge of the fence in the backyard.
Stepping over the threshold, Corey was greeted by the smiling face of Adriana.
She wore a blood red sleeveless dress with her hair in big curls, framing her face.
Corey stepped forward and it was almost like they were floating over to her.
The millions of blades of grass where like fluffy clouds under their feet.
Corey locked in on Adriana, and as cheesy as it sounded, the whole world came to a halt. Closer and closer Corey came, and every step felt like a mile; but eventually, Corey made it over to Adriana, and the second they were close enough, Adriana’s hand was stretched out, reaching for them.
Rather than taking Corey’s hands like she’d done with Brock and Racheal, Adriana hooked two fingers into one of the beltloops of Corey’s slacks and pulled them into her.
Corey’s face nearly split in half as a grin stretched its way across their face.
“Hi.” They said, resting their forehead against hers.
“Hi.” She said as her arms snaked around Corey’s waist.
“Did I win?” Corey asked, brushing their nose against hers.
The question came out soft and childlike, causing a hurricane of butterflies to swarm Adriana’s stomach.
Tipping her head back she looked up at them; her eyes twinkled like the stars in the night sky as she looked into Corey’s eyes.
“I think you did.” She said, just before capturing their lips with her own.
….
Corey kissed Adriana long and deep, allowing themself to get lost in the kiss. She tasted like strawberry and champagne, a combination Corey didn’t even know they were into until that very moment.
Hugging her close, Corey bit down on Adriana’s bottom lip, before tugging on it, causing her gasp to fade into a low groan.
Corey pecked her a few times before moving their kisses to her chin, then along the right side of her jaw. Then, as they began kissing their way back to her chin again, Corey threaded their fingers into her hair, tugging ever so gently, causing Adriana’s head to fall back.
Peppering kisses down her throat, Corey scraped their teeth against her neck, causing a moan to spill past Adriana’s lips.
“Corey, wait.” She said, causing Corey to pull back to look at her.
“Sorry, got a little carried away.” They said sheepishly.
Adriana let out a breathy laugh as she swiped her thumb under Corey’s bottom lip, wiping away her lipstick.
“No, you’re fine, it’s just both are parents flew in, and they should be here shortly.” She said.
And as if on cue, the sound of the back patio door sliding open caused Corey and Adriana to turn to face the house.
“You see! I told you you were gonna win!” Vinny shouted, rolling himself into the backyard.
“The knee never lies!” He said, wagging his finger at Corey.
“Dear God.” Corey said, causing Adriana to laugh.
Pulling apart, Adriana and Corey began making their way over to Vinny as the rest of their family poured into the backyard.
